About ParliDebate.com

Updated September 1, 2007

Parlidebate.com started as a collection of ten or so recordings on a random Columbia webpage. Its current size is due entirely to the support and generosity of the debate community, which has provided financial support and a whole bunch of taped debate rounds. While the site is technically run by Columbia's Gloria Sun and Matthew Scarola, pretending parlidebate.com isn't a community effort would be extremely disingenuous.

Why .com instead of .org?

Because parlidebate.org was already registered. We promise we're not making - or trying to make - a profit.

Are you affiliated with any debate organizations?

We're not technically affiliated with anyone. But nearly all of our rounds are from APDA, most of our support comes from APDA and we debate almost exclusively at APDA tournaments.

What if I want a round taken down?

If you'd prefer that one of your rounds not be online, email us and we'll take it down.
